The Comanche Public Library, established in 1960, offers many services. The current building, designed by distinguished Texas architect O’Neil Ford of San Antonio, was dedicated in 1974. Located at 311 North Austin Street, the library is a block and a half north of the square.
The more than 30,000 volumes include selections for readers of all ages. Public Internet access is also available. The library’s Special Collections provide diverse Comanche, Texas and Southern States history and genealogy materials.
